Goodwill Deal!

I am a thrift store fanatic.  I will roam every aisle and inspect every shelf for hidden treasures. I don't generally see any scrapping or stamping supplies on my thrifting trips, but occasionally I come across something wonderful, like these:

I found these this morning at Goodwill.  They're mostly from the Making Memories Spook Alley collection, with one goody from K & Company.  I got:

  • 2 packages of Spook Alley Looking Glass self-adhesive embellishments (orig. $4.99 ea.). The picture only shows one.

  • One package of Spook Alley Glitter Alpha Stickers (orig $3.99 ea.)

  • One package of Spook Alley Glitter Rub-Ons (orig. $3.99 ea.)

  • One package of K & Co. Grand Adhesions Dimensional Stickers ($3.49 ea.)
And how much did I pay for these delicious Halloween goodies, you may ask?
Twenty-nine cents each.
I love a bargain.

Card for Courtney

Katherine is keeping me busy making birthday cards for her friends lately.  Here's one I made for Courtney.  This card uses Stampin' Up! Designer series paper, SU! ribbon and ribbon ornament.  It also uses fabric tapes from Making Memories, and a rub-on from an unknown company.  Sorry, it was just sitting there in my drawer with no identifying marks!

The inspiration for the card came from Kristina Werner's blog.  I adore her videos and go straight to her blog when I am looking for ideas.

Birthday Card for Sarah

Here's another birthday card I made for one of my daughter's friends.  It uses the Hello Kitty Greetings Cricut Cartridge, but there's no kitty in sight!  I went with a cupcake instead, but stuck to traditional HK colors.  The CS is from Stampin' Up! - don't ask me which color it is; I'm not sure.  I used a foam stamp and some Versamark ink for the background image.  I didn't want it to be too distracting.  I printed the sentiment from my computer. The font is 0 Whoa DNA.  I popped the sentiment and the cupcake up off of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals from SU!.  I used Crystal Effects on the cherry, white glitter on the frosting and brown flocking on the cake.  I ran the cupcake liner through my Cuttlebug for the dotted effect and finished up the card with a white grosgrain bow.  It's simple, pretty and graphic.

Thanks

This was a quick and easy card that I made for my sister-in-law's parents.  I wasn't able to make it to the Relay For Life to do my survivor lap, so they sent me a Survivor's t-shirt - so thoughtful!  Cardstock is from Stampin' Up!, Rub-ons are heidi grace Icons from the Sweetest Bug collection, "thanks" stamp - source unknown.  I'd love to be able to tell you who makes it, but the packaging has disappeared.  It's a clear set with loads of images that comes in an 8x8" square package.

I love that the rub-on is the primary image on this card - that's definitely something different for me.
